Welcome back to a brand new school year!
I hope this letter finds you and your family rested, recharged, and ready for the exciting year ahead. It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome each of you—whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time—to the 2025-2026 school year here in the Georgetown Exempted Village School District.

Our mission remains clear: to IGNITE PASSION, INSPIRE ACTION and INSTILL GREATNESS in each and every student! This year, we are especially focused on meeting the diverse needs of students and staff, motivating and engaging students and academic achievement across all grade levels.

To our students: We are so glad to have you back. Your curiosity, creativity, and resilience inspire us every day. This year, I encourage you to explore new ideas, take on new challenges, and support one another as you learn and grow.

To our families: Thank you for your continued partnership. Your involvement and support play a vital role in student success, and we are committed to maintaining strong, open lines of communication throughout the year.

To our dedicated staff: Your passion and professionalism are the backbone of our district. As we begin this new year, know that your work makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students. I am grateful for your commitment to excellence.

Together, let’s make this year one of connection, growth, and opportunity for all. I look forward to seeing the incredible things we will accomplish as a district.

Please help us welcome our newest Board of Education Member - Ms. Tina Marks! Ms. Marks was appointed to replace Mr. Ralph Sininger, who stepped down in May, and will finish out his term. Ms. Marks already lives by the #IgniteInspireInstill mission so she is ready to hit the ground running to support our District.

Join the Brown County Public Library for the First Summer Reading Family Night! 📚 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who: This is a family-friendly event — ALL ages are welcome! 🎪 What: Performance by the Cincinnati Circus 🤹‍♂️🎈 📍 Where: Kathryn Hanlon Memorial Park ☔ (In case of rain, the event will be held at the Gaslight Theater) 🗓️ When: Today, May 29th, at 4:30 PM 🕟

🎉 Shoutout to our 7th and 8th-grade students who met the PBIS Incentive requirements — you earned it! 🎉 To celebrate, students took a trip to Jump Bowl Skate in Maysville, KY for some well-deserved fun! 🛼🎳 The venue was fantastic, the food was great, and most importantly, our students had an awesome time! Proud of their hard work and positive behavior all year long! 💪🙌

🎉 Our elementary students have been working hard and showing amazing behavior, and it's time to celebrate! 🎉 Thanks to the support of our incredible Georgetown PTO and Mrs. Kratzer, all grades earned exciting PBIS incentives this spring! In March, students enjoyed the Snakes Alive Assembly 🐍, followed by an outdoor lunch with popsicles in April ☀️🍦, and they’ll wrap up the year today with extra recess and Fun Dip 🎈🍬.
