You might recognize a familiar face around campus! After doing an incredible job as a long-term substitute teacher last school year, Mr. Becht is officially joining us full-time on the 4th grade team! Ryan traded in his business career after discovering a love for education, going on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Governors University. He can’t wait to support our students' growth and success this year!
We’re excited to share that Ms. Gardner is moving into a new role on our 6th grade team! She’s been a familiar face in our elementary school as an Instructional Aide since 2022, working with amazing GEVS staff across multiple grades. A proud 2020 Bethel-Tate grad, Sarah will earn her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She’s passionate about helping every student thrive in a welcoming, supportive classroom. When she’s not teaching, you can find Ms. Gardner truck pulling or enjoying the outdoors with her friends and family!
Welcome to the team, Ms. Heppner! Kelsey is starting her teaching career right here at Georgetown Schools after earning her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. She brings a ton of hands-on experience, including a full year of student teaching in 2nd grade, practicum work from preschool to 4th grade, and daycare experience with infants through 10 year olds. A local West Clermont grad raised in Amelia, Kelsey can’t wait to meet her new students and get started!
We’re excited to welcome back Ms. Jones! After serving as a long-term substitute Intervention Specialist last year, Erica brings her UCLA Master of Education and years of expertise back to Georgetown Elementary. We’re so lucky to have her on our team!
After completing her student teaching here at GHS, Darby is officially joining our team! She recently graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Education. Fun fact: Ms. Mills owns a pygmy goat farm! When she’s not hanging out with her goats or in the classroom, Darby loves traveling the world to learn about global agriculture, kayaking, baking, and staying active.
Mr. Novak started at Georgetown in January and we are pleased to welcome him back this school year! Dylan earned a dual Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education from Mount St. Joseph University. A 2022 Western Brown alumni, Mr. Novak is excited to be back at Georgetown Elementary this year!
Join us in welcoming Mr. Pertuset to the G-town family! Aaron brings 8 years of valuable teaching experience from Madison Christian School and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. A graduate of Ohio Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education, he is eager to get started with our students this year. Off-duty, Mr. Pertuset enjoys life with his wife, Staci, and their two daughters, Rory and Magnolia. Welcome aboard, Mr. Pertuset!

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with content majors in Language Arts and Natural Science. When she isn't teaching, Mrs. Taylor loves tapping into her creative side through arts and crafts, sports, and spending time with family and friends. We’re so glad to have her back on campus!
Join us in welcoming Mrs. Wheeler! Jennifer brings fantastic early childhood experience to our school, having previously taught both preschool and kindergarten. A graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Elementary Education, she is ready to help our youngest learners thrive! Outside of school, Jennifer lives at Lake Waynoka with her husband Jeremy, three daughters, and four pets. When she’s not teaching, you can find her kayaking, traveling, or spending time with loved ones!

LEVEL-UP Celebration Parade - WEATHER UPDATE!

We are looking forward to celebraing our students during our Level-Up parade tomorrow morning. We wanted to share an important weather update.

In the event of rain or severe weather tomorrow morning, the parade will be CANCELLED. At this time, we will not reschedule the parade if it is cancelled.

A decision will be made by 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning, and we will communicate any cancellation information to families through our normal communication channels.

We are hopeful for great weather and appreciate your understanding and support as we work to make this a fun and memorable celebration for all students.
