Elementary and HS STEM students ran into a challenge with storing their droids for this year's Ohio Code Scholar robotics program. Students quickly came up with a solution to create their own storage boxes. With a generous donation from NAL our students used large matte boards to measure the dimensions and fold their own storage boxes. #IgniteInspireInstill

A big thank you to Becky Cropper with the Brown County ESC for your dedication to supporting teachers and students in our schools! Our 4th-grade STEM students had an incredible learning experience diving into core economics and entrepreneurship concepts — from supply and demand to budgeting, marketing, and real-world decision-making. Hands-on activities like these spark curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and connect classroom learning to the world around us.

🍎✨ Working Together for Brown County Kids! ✨🍎

This summer, the public schools of Brown County joined forces with UMC Food Ministry to create a summer food program serving ALL school-age students in our Brown County communities.

Brown County Superintendents recognized a need, reviewed relevant data, and—together with the help of so many—made it happen.

The result? We are proud to share that 750,512 meals were provided to the children of Brown County! 🙌

A huge THANK YOU goes out to UMC Food Ministry, the incredible individuals in our schools’ transportation and food service departments, and the various local organizations in the county who continue serving the students and families of Brown County. ♥️

It truly takes a village—and in Brown County, our village shows up. Together, we are stronger. Together, we serve. Together, we support our students. 💪

Students in Mr. & Mrs. McGinnis’ K–12 STEM classes are taking on their biggest service-learning project yet! In partnership with Kim Adams at the Brown County ESC, they’re teaming up with local farmers, fire rescue teams, and EMS to raise awareness about grain bin safety while also learning about the role farming plays in our community.

📍 Using GPS mapping, students will help identify the locations of grain bins across Brown County. This data will be shared with our fire department and life squad to improve response times in grain bin entrapment emergencies. 🚁 This week, students had a special visit from Doug Daniels, a drone expert with the Highland County Sheriff's Department, who shared how drone technology can support their project. This hands-on experience combines STEM, agriculture, and community service, demonstrating to our students the power of learning with real-world impact. 🌾💡

⚙️Students in Mr. & Mrs. McGinnis' 5th-12th-grade STEM classes received brand new 3D printers thanks to Ohio Code Scholar. They've been busy unboxing, setting up, and learning how to calibrate their machines. Working to build their problem-solving, patience, and innovation skills, they began printing their Mini Domes for this year's robotics competition. Can't wait to see how their creativity drives the engineering process this year. Stay tuned to see their domes come to life! 🤖 #IgniteInspireInstill
