Our talented 8th-grade students have been working hard on their realistic "Nike" drawings using acrylic paint! 🖌️👟 This project combines creativity, precision, and attention to detail as they bring their artistic visions to life. #IgniteInspireInstill
Sixth-grade STEM students participated in a project that integrated a battery, voltage reducer, and servo into their Wearable Devices. They also added LEDs to both the dome and body panels of the devices. After completing this assembly, the students set up two buttons connected to their Wearable Devices. Following this configuration, they utilized block coding to program the LED lights to flash. In the next stage of their project, students will investigate methods to develop different blinking patterns for the LED lights. #IgniteInspireInstill
Our 7th graders are practicing their listening skills while they are practicing solving inequalities. #IgniteInspireInstill

Thank you to the Georgetown Police Department and Brown County Prosecutor, Zac Corbin, for taking time to speak to GES 5th and 6th grade students about the safe use of Technology! #IgniteInspireInstill
Last Thursday, GHS sophomores trekked to Southern Hills Career Tech Center to explore the variety of programs they have to offer. #IgniteInspireInstill
A key aspect of STEM that we particularly enjoy is addressing practical challenges. Students from various grade levels applied their design thinking skills to create these functional tape dispensers for our engineering tables. #IgniteInspireInstill
Sixth-grade STEM students are engaging in a design project that involves creating wearable droid components. Initially, they sketch their designs on paper, which they subsequently translate into digital formats. Following this, they focus on considerations of size and scale to guarantee that all components will interconnect seamlessly. Throughout this process, students develop analytical skills as they assess the size, shape, movement, and interrelationships of various objects. Upon finalizing their digital designs, they learn to save their files and utilize the classroom's 3D printers for production. #IgniteInspireInstill

Our talented High School Art students have been hard at work, expressing themselves through various artistic mediums! From drawing and painting to pottery and mixed media, their creativity knows no bounds. We are so proud of their dedication and creativity! #IgniteInspireInstill
Sixth-grade STEM students are actively engaged in the initial phases of constructing their wearable droids. Throughout this process, they acquire essential engineering skills related to mechanics while assembling the components of the Wearable Droids. Additionally, they will gain knowledge in electronics as they connect an LED, motor, buzzer, and buttons. We are thankful for our Southern State computer science students who help in our classroom along the way!
