SBAAC National League tournament champs!!!!
The Georgetown Bowling teams traveled to Wilmington yesterday for the SBAAC National League tournament.
The boys turned in some impressive scores on a tough tournament pattern. A very good Blanchester team hung with us for a while but our boys never let thier foot off the gas by turning in a 992 team score in the 2nd game which was 110 pins above any other team in the building! They never looked back and ended up winning the tournament by a 410-pin margin!
The Lady G-Men won a nail-biting shootout with East Clinton!
The Lady G-Men found themselves trailing by 23 pins to East Clinton after the individual games and headed into baker competition. They won the first baker game by 10 pins, which still left us with a 13-pin deficit. They went on to win the 2nd baker game by 24 pins and won the overall tournament by 11 pins!
Super proud of these girls for continuing to grind until the very last frame! Each and every one of them contributed to this win!!!
Now, let's talk about the All-Tournament teams that were loaded with Georgetown Bowlers! 3 boys and 3 girls made the All-Tournament teams!
Sierra Chisenhall took the top spot in the tournament! She was #1 on the girl's All-Tournament team with a 535 series!!! Congrats, Sierra!!
Kalisa Ann Jennings was #2 with a 526 series!!
Kara Edmisten was #4 with a 489 series!!
Kaleb Franklin led the boys with a 630 series and earned the #2 spot on the All-Tournament team!!
Owen Beath was #3 with a 606 series!!
Austin Dale Whisman was #5 with a 592 series!!!
The accomplishments of these teams so far this season is really something special, and Coach Winterod is honored to be a part of it! The improvements that Coach Winterod has witnessed in these kids over the last 2 years are directly linked to their work ethic! A coach can only give them the tools and knowledge to improve; what they do with that is up to them! These kids have earned their success this season!!!
Great job, everyone!
