An ability to think through complex problems, collaborate with others, communicate needs, & persevere through failure are essential skills developed through Engineering Education. This week in STEM, our K-2 engineers designed an attachment that holds bunny ear strings while learning to tie shoes. They worked through failure & celebrated the achievements of their peers. #IgniteInspireInstill

GHS was represented well at the Ohio Rural Heritage Festival in Ripley. Senior Jenna Carrington received First Runner-Up, and Junior Alexis Corbin took home the crown in the Queen Pageant. #IgniteInspireInstill

Dear Georgetown Families,
Tomorrow (8/22) the Georgetown Jr/Sr High School students will be released 2 hours early (12:30pm) due to mechanical problems with the air conditioning. Students will still have the opportunity to each lunch before being dismissed. All elementary students will have a regular school day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Brown County Juvenile Court's EYES program coordinator Lisa Rothwell stands with the sign donated by the EYES program. "Every minute of instruction counts and Judge E. Lewis stands with the school's increased vigilance towards punctuality and improved attendance."
The EYES program, with renewed efforts from school administration, has decreased truancy filings from Georgetown School's nearly 100%.
