GEVS wants to pass along information about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which helps families pay for internet service and connected devices, such as a laptop or tablet.

Broadband access is an essential resource for us all, including students. The U.S. Department of Education points out that broadband widens learning opportunities for students, providing access to high-quality, low-cost, relevant educational material. Broadband allows teachers, parents, and organizations to make better decisions tied to each student’s needs and abilities.

Families can check whether they qualify and apply online here: getinternet.gov.

Families can also download, print and complete a paper application.

Families can get assistance completing the application by contacting United Way at 211 or 513-721-7900 or emailing hccc@uwgc.org. Families also can schedule an appointment for in-person application assistance at myuwgc.org/acphelp.
