These activities promote leadership skills and give you the opportunity to make new friends with shared interests, and have fun while building your resume. Girl Strong: #GirlStrong is a student-driven mentoring program, facilitated by high school girls, that focuses on empowering younger girls to be healthy and confident. Small group discussions and various forms of physical activity are used to help them set new goals and overcome challenges. High school mentors are selected in November and work through the winter to prepare for the season with the elementary girls in the spring. The program is open to any 3rd-6th-grade girl after school on Tuesday and Thursday's for eight weeks, beginning in March. We host a final celebratory run to commence each season.
G-Men L.E.A.D . : G-Men L.E.A.D. is a youth fitness/mentoring club that is designed to empower preteen boys at Georgetown Exempted Village Schools who are in 5th and 6th grade. The goal of our club is to give these students a good foundation of leadership skills before they reach teenhood.
G-NEWS: G-News is a project-based, student-driven class where we showcase our school. We cover everything from academics, athletics, organizations, our community, to everyday student life.
