The Brown County Youth Drug Prevention Coalition Lace Up Against Drugs 5K Glow Run
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community members who helped make our first 5K Glow Run a success! We had 71 participants!! 5K Glow Run
Another Very Special Thank You goes to our community members, Georgetown Police Department, Georgetown Life Squad (Nikki Benjamin), Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Art Owens-Town Administrator, Deanna Vietze-Brown County Mental Health and Addiction Services Board, Georgetown Schools Staff, Parents, and Students! YOU are what made this event a success!

Some of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Georgetown GmenLead and GirlStrong groups. It is with these groups that our children are learning to be leaders and make healthy choices which will lead them into a brighter future where they can change the course drugs have taken in our community. TOGETHER We Can Make A Difference!

GTown Elite
Congratulations to our Gtown Elite students for the month of April. Emily Renshaw, Logan Vinson, Caroline Ernst, Rilee Gable, Blake Tolle, Alecia Light, Madison Young, Cheyenne Kirlik were nominated for Integrity. Please see the attached for a complement the student received from a teacher.

Jr. and Sr. High Choir Concert - "Sing All Summer"
The Georgetown Jr and Sr High Choirs would like to invite the community to attend their concert, "Sing All Summer", on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7 pm in the high school cafeteria. The concert is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. Come out and enjoy some wonderful music while supporting arts education. 
Arena Scheduling
Junior and Senior High school students will begin Arena Scheduling on April 28th. Students will make their schedules for the 2017-2018 school year.  
Pre-School Applications Now Available
Pre-School applications are now available for the 2017-2018 school year. The deadlines for application are May 15, 2017. Please contact Carrie Kratzer, 937-378-6235, with questions.

Jr./Sr. High Library Renovation Plan Nearing Completion
Plans are underway to renovate the library at Georgetown Jr./Sr. High School. The library, constructed in 1987, doesn't meet the current demands of todays learners. The space will be renovated to include flexible learning spaces where students can collaborate with one another, work independently, practice presentations or participate in whole group instruction. GJSHS plans on making this space available to students during school and after school as well. Please check out the plans by selecting the link below.

You can begin filling out your back to school paperwork online. Follow the link below to set up an account. You will need your child/children's school ID number to start this process. If you do not recall the ID number please call 937-378-3730 or email me at chris.burrows@gtown.k12.oh.us and Ms. Sherry Marks or I will help you retrieve this information. You will need your child's date of birth to retrieve this number. We hope that this helps ease the stress of all the back to school paperwork you once had.
