From the desk of Christopher J. Burrows
At Georgetown Exempted Village Schools we strive daily to be a school district our community is proud of—where all students want to learn, all people want to work, and all parents want to send their children. I know that you expect excellence from your school district. It is our goal to proudly provide you with a great value and even greater service of continued excellence. We deeply appreciate all of the support and encouragement you have given us.
I am excited to share our district goals and achievements with you, and hope it characterizes the overall educational value of public education above and beyond standardized testing. We have set goals beyond
what is measured on state tests, and provide data that reflects the high expectations we have for our students, teachers, administrators, and staff.
This is not just “fluff.” It is an honest look at what is important to our learning community, and is designed to help demonstrate the well- rounded education we provide to the students you entrust us with. I hope you will take a few minutes to review this important information and learn more about the inner workings of the district.
At Georgetown our motto is “Ready For Anything.” It is our sincere hope that by the end of a child’s educational experience in our school system, they graduate with a high school diploma AND either a Career Technical Certificate, an Associate degree, and/or an In-Demand Employment Certificate. When we accomplish this, the children of our community will truly be “Ready For Anything!”
